Prestige X60: More Outdoor Space

The new Prestige X60 flybridge is a French-styled luxury cruiser with a creative “infinity deck” aft and an extra sliding glass door in the salon leading to an innovative mix of indoor and outdoor space.

The aft deck, with modular furniture that can be moved around, has a low glass see-through transom so the views, even from inside the salon, reach out to the horizon aft. Most of the aft deck is protected by the overhang from the flybridge up top. A lounge and convertible sun pad provide relaxing and lounging space.

Steps on both sides lead down to the hydraulic swim platform that can lower for access to the water. The transom lifts up to reveal a large beach club with lounging chairs. A door leads to the crew cabin under the aft deck, with a single bed and a head, popular in Europe, although most U.S. buyers would probably use this as storage space.

Sliding glass doors, reaching all the way across, open from the aft deck to the salon, all on the same level. Here, a large glass door aft opens to the port side deck; with this door open and the aft door open the Prestige X60 has an enormous amount of fresh air and connection to the outside. There’s another door forward in the salon, next to the helm, that opens on the starboard side.

The salon seems unusually wide and open; that’s because it’s full beam on the starboard side in an asymmetrical  design. The port side deck runs the full length to the foredeck, and has a side boarding gate. In the salon, the galley is amidships and wraps around the two-person helm console.

A staircase from the starboard side of the salon provides private access to the master stateroom, a nice touch usually seen in megayachts. There is a total of three cabins and three heads on the accommodations deck.

Up top, the flybridge has the upper helm with seating for two, an outdoor galley with a grill, fridge and sink, and a large dining area. The hard top has an opening sun roof. And there’s more seating all the way aft.

Standard power on the Prestige X60 comes from two 600-hp Cummins, producing a top speed of 26 knots, with a range of 250 nm at a cruising speed of 21 knots. Owners can choose a V-drive setup or Zeus drives.
