New Galeon 435 GTO To Debut in Miami

The new Galeon 435 GTO will make its U.S. debut at the big Miami show that starts on February 14. With its open aft deck and large drop-down terraces, the Polish-built Galeon wants to set new standards for comfortable outdoor living and relaxing on board.

The 435 GTO is no slouch underway, either. Powered by three 600-hp Mercury Verado outboards with contra-rotating props, it tops out at more than 55 mph. Standard trim tabs help to keep everything on the straight and level.

For spending time on board, the new Galeon has two cabins (sleeping four adults) and one head below. The owner’s cabin, forward, is filled with natural light from side windows; the guest cabin amidships, has a two-person bed.

The 435 GTO has full-length hull windows and glazing. The main deck opens and closes, for protection from the elements. There are 360-degree views from all the seating there, including the three elevated seats facing the helm. Large glass doors open to the cockpit, where the side balconies drop down to create a large open “beach mode” by adding almost three feet of usable space on each side.

Going forward, the foredeck has more sunning and relaxing space, with a U-shaped lounge and table.

GTO is Galeon’s outboard-powered lineup. There’s also a GTO 325, 375 plus the 435. The company also has a Hardtop, Skydeck and Flybridge series, all represented at the Miami show. Galeon has been making boats since 1982. They are sold in the U.S. by the retail giant MarineMax.
