The new Lazzara LPC500 gives a whole new meaning to the idea of an open layout.

On the lower deck of the 85-foot luxury power cat, both sides drop down from the owner’s massive, full-beam midships stateroom, so you can eat breakfast, lunch or dinner sitting out over the ocean, while enjoying the breeze from the other side.

On the main deck, the port, starboard and aft glass walls slide open to provide a massive open area so you can enjoy the view, or the weather, in three directions. The cat’s 35-foot beam ensures a lot of fresh air moving through here. The salon has a large galley, a dining area and game table on the port side, a well-outfitted helm, an L-shaped bar and lounge to starboard, and a day head. A luxurious U-shaped sofa looks aft.

If you want to relax, you can head up to the flybridge, where there’s a Jacuzzi aft, as well as more fresh air all around. Protected by a hardtop, the flybridge also has the upper helm, an al fresco dining area, bar, grill, and lots of sun lounges.

The main aft deck, opening out from the salon, serves as a large sunning area But so does the lower aft deck, reached by sweeping stairs port and starboard, that serves as an inviting beach club providing access to water sports. Part of it is shaded, making it easier to watch the giant-screen TV. The garage is large enough for a 20-foot tender.

Below, the master stateroom has a double vanity, and four more staterooms have room for eight guests. Extensive glazing on the sides of the Lazzara provide lots of natural light.

Standard  power is twin 700-hp Volvo D13s with straight shafts, providing a top speed of 20 knots. Other power options go up to twin 1,550-hp MANs.
