Tiara just announced at the Miami show, where it’s celebrating its 50h anniversary, that it will launch an updated version of its 43 LE this year, with new interior and exterior designs and new outboard power.

Tiara first launched the 43 LE (luxury express) in the summer of 2020, and it hit a popular spot as a well-designed, high-quality family cruiser with power from three 450-hp outboards. The LE fleet then expanded with a 48 flagship in the spring of 2023; it had a lot of new touches that the Holland, Michigan, builder now wants to incorporate in the updated 43.

The new 43 will have a full-beam fiberglass hardtop and powered sun roof and a fully equipped galley in the salon with seating on the port side that can be converted to an additional berth. A glass enclosure with a sliding glass door and an electrically actuated window in the salon open aft to the cockpit. An all-new U-shaped lounge there rotates to provide views in every direction; a buffet and electric grill are part of the standard layout. A new fold-down terrace on the port side provides access to the water. An optional layout includes a fishing module for sportsmen.

Below, the new 43 LE sleeps four people. The owner’s stateroom is forward with private access to the head, and the guest cabin is aft a bit, with a bed for two set athwartships.

The hull is built for performance with a 21-degree deadrise at the transom. Power now comes from twin Mercury 600-hp v12 outboards. The 43 has an integrated electronics package with a Mercury digital throttle and shift, joystick piloting, and a Garmin nav system.

The 43 LE has an air height of just 9’ 9” so it can slide under bridges while cruising in the Southeast or along the Great Loop.

Specs.: LOA: 43’6”; Beam: 13’; Draft: 3’5”; Disp.: 24,000 lbs.; Fuel: 540 gals.; Water: 60 gals.; Power: 2×600-hp Mercury V12 outboards.
