Bering Starts Charters in the Bahamas

Bering Yachts, the Turkish builder of long-range explorer yachts, is just starting a charter operation in the Bahamas.

The Bering charters are a bit different, because you don’t have to rent the entire yacht; you can charter a cabin or a group of cabins if you are traveling as a couple or a family. If you have a large group, you can charter the entire yacht.

The program is starting with the 92-foot Papillon (pictured) and the 145-foot Heeus. The itineraries are flexible, and cover Nassau, the Exumas and the Turks and Caicos. One new five-day cruise, for example, covers 136-nm from the Exumas to Nassau, where you can see the swimming pigs and secluded coves at the start and then enjoy all the activities of Nassau at the finish.

Papillon has a master suite with a balcony and three guest staterooms, all with en suite heads. There’s also a fully equipped galley, comfortable salon and large sundeck for relaxing, and a crew of four.

Heesus also has a master with a private balcony and four guest cabins with en suite heads. It has a crew of ten and a 32-foot chase boat, so you can get  just about anywhere you want to go for swimming, snorkeling, fishing or just wandering around a secluded white-sand beach.

The yachts come with masks, snorkels, fins, a jet-ski and paddleboards for water sports.

And Bering will reimburse you for the cost of the charter if you buy a new boat.

Berings are built in Antalya, Turkey; the company has offices in Fort Lauderdale.
