EXTRA Yachts just announced that it has sold the first hull of its new X90 Fast series and it’s building the low-profile cruiser in its factory in Ancona, Italy. The new EXTRA will be delivered in the summer of 2025.
Designed by the Hot Lab studio in Milan, the new EXTRA has a distinctive profile that includes low windows that still admit lots of natural light to the interior. It has a mix of several entertaining and relaxing spaces inside and out, and the company offers a high range of customization.
Power comes from three 1,000-hp Volvo IPS1350 pod drives. Top speed is 30 knots, and cruising speed is 24 knots. Dial back to 12 knots and the range jumps to about 1,000 nm.
EXTRA, a brand of ISA Yachts, says the new X90 FAST, a fiberglass motoryacht, is the sportiest model in its Fast range, which starts at 76 feet. The spacious salon is separated from the cockpit by the galley with windows that open. One feature of the new X90 is that the crew can reach both their quarters, located forward of the engine room, and the sun deck without contacting the guests on board.
In the salon, a lounge is forward, leading to the wheelhouse with smoked glass windows. Owners can choose either an indoor dining table or a large lounging area with a bar in the salon.
The aft outdoor areas are on three levels, starting with the cockpit where a dining table can seat ten, moving to a living area with a C-shaped sofa and a sun bathing spot, and finally a water sports area at water level.
The sun deck has another large lounging and dining area with a bar. A second helm station and a T-Top are options there. A C-shaped sofa provides another sunning and social area on the foredeck, with a powered hi-low table. A Jacuzzi and a large sun pad are options.
The yacht’s interior combines white and natural wood with glass inserts for a clean, modern look. The structural furniture is placed to emphasize the views outside.
Below, the X90 Fast has four double cabins, all with private heads. The master stateroom is set amidships to take advantage of the yacht’s 23’ 2” beam.
