Sirena Yachts, based in Turkey, announced at BOOT Dusseldorf that the builder was launching the design of a new Sirena 60. The new boat will replace the Sirena 58 that has proven so successful in the mid-range cruising market.
Sirena celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2024 so they are kicking off their second decade with a stylish new 60 footer. The new yacht, designed by German Frers, carries all of the design DNA that has made the company such a world-wide success, including the plumb bow, extended swim platform and huge dark glazing that contrasts dramatically with the gleaming white of the hull and deck.
The new boat will have an improved flybridge design with larger areas to relax, better ergonomics and enhanced visibility for the helmsman. The lounge on the foredeck is larger and equipped with a table for evening cocktails or al fresco lunches. The cockpit also has been expanded and given a larger seating area.
Sirena has been modernizing their interior design over the years and has arrived at a simple, minimalist style that is elegant, comfortable and practical. The 60 has the galley at the aft end of the salon where it is between the inside dinette and the dining table in the cockpit. The inside helm is forward and to port with the stairs to the lower deck to starboard.
The master cabin is amidships and used the hull’s full beam of 15 feet to provide a huge space with the double berth on the centerline. The hull windows fill the cabin with natural light. The VIP guest cabin in the bow is also huge and will be a fine home-away-from-home for your friends or relatives. Again, this cabin is bathed in light.
In the design of the new 60, Frers and the Sirena team went to great pains to add storage spaces to make life on board more convenient. Hanging lockers are larger, more cabinets have been installed and on deck they have bigger lockers for fenders, lines and water toys.
The 60 is a performance cruiser. Powered by twin Volvo D13s rated at 900-horsepower, the boat will have a top speed of 25 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 20 knots.
Following in the wake of the Sirena 58, the new 60 sets a new and higher bar for the company and their clients.
