Polish-Built Cobra Campione 41 Fly Emphasizes Value and Volume

Here’s a new 41-foot family cruiser from the Polish builder Cobra that packs a huge amount of living space into a family cruiser that is also a great value for money.

The Campione sports high topsides, a full-beam salon, an expansive cockpit/swim platform and a full flying bridge that extends aft over the cockpit. The combination provides extra volume in the forward cabins, room to swing a cat in the salon, a real beach-front porch aft and two spacious lounging areas up top. And, then there’s the sunning area on the fore deck.

The Flybridge transforms Cobras’ 41 Coupe into a much larger vessel, despite having the same hull and deck. The U-shaped lounge aft will be the preferred social area in good weather. An optional grill, fridge and sink will enhance the space even farther.

The 41 Fly is a three-cabin, three head family cruiser but it seems to be a much larger boat with cabins you’d expect on a 48 footer or larger. The builder also can configure the sleeping arrangements for two VIP cabins and two heads, putting the huge master cabin amidships.

The full width salon has a roomy dinette and a full galley. Because there are no side decks, access to the fore deck is via a door next to the main helm and this seems to work very well.

The 41 Campione has a range of power options. For those who want the lowest cost and the most fuel-efficient configuration, a single 170-horsepower diesel is available. Those who have the need for speed can opt for twin 370-horsepower engines and the 1,000-gallon fuel tanks these beasts will require.

Poland has become one of Europe’s best countries for building boats because their craftsmen have long boat-building traditions while the cost of labor and doing business is one of the lowest in the EU. So, a Cobra 41 can be brought into the States at a favorable price – not factoring in the beaten down value of the dollar and the tariff situation.

Cobra Yachts are represented in the U.S. by Euromarine International in Boston, Massachusetts.
