The Serbian builder Greenline has since inception been dedicated to designing and creating boats that are efficient and eco friendsly. Their work in electric and hybrid power systems has been state of the art and solor in playing an even larger role as panels get more efficient.
The new Greenline 42, which was introduced at boot Dusseldorf in January is the latest iteration of all these components. First it is noticeably larger than the 40-footer it is replacing. The cockpit and solon feel more spacious and the master cabin below could be on a 50-footer.

Greenline offers the 42 with three power packages. You can have a straight diesel drive. Or, you can go with their advanced diesel-electric hybrid system. Or you can opt for a fully electric boat.
Certainly the all-electric option will reduce top end speeds and range so most Greenline owners who want the benefit of electric drive will opt for the hybrid system
With the coupe styling, there is plenty of acreage on the cabin top for a full solar array. In combination with the large lithium battery bank and charge-control system, the panels alone will allow you to operate all “hotel” functions for 48 hours without running either the main engine or a genset.
The Greenline 40 introduced a large cruising audience to the Greenline ethos and technological innovations. The new 42 will do the same but in a larger and more spacious package.
