On Wednesday the 13th of May, Nordhavn Yachts announced that they are launching an all new N 100 expedition yacht. The new 100-footer is an evolution from the N96 and the existing N100 but is an entirely new model.

The new 100 provides expanded interior living spaces and creates expansive outdoor social area in the cockpit, upper deck and flybrisge for entertaining and relaxing while cruising.
The Nordhavn name has become synonymous with expedition yachting, offering a full range of seaworthy vessels capable of crossing the world’s oceans while delivering exceptional performance in the most demanding sea conditions. At the same time, each yacht provides owners and guests with a luxurious and remarkably comfortable experience underway.
At 400,00 pounds of displacement, the new boat is massive and truly an ocean-going ship capable of exploring the world’s most remote cruising grounds. Carrying 7,000 gallons of diesel, it will have an expansive trans-oceanic range.
The standard powerplant has twin Caterpillar 600-horsepower engines that have proven incredibly reliable over years of service and thousands of hours of run time. The twin engines also provide her owners with the redundancy long rage cruises need. Note that the engines are mounted amidships in a vast engine room at the hull’s center of gravity for enhanced stability and seakeeping.
The main deck provides the huge cockpit aft. The salon has a large lounge aft, the master dining table amidships for up to eight guests and the galley forward.
The owner’s cabin is on the main deck forward of the galley and makes good use of the salon’s full width. This is as spacious a cabin as you will find on a boat of this size and provides its occupants with tons of natural light and ventilation.
The guests and crew cabins are down below and accessed via a stair way at the forward end of the salon.
The upper deck with the helm and all navigation equipment and is the boat’s beating heart. The crew will spend much time here while guests will enjoy both the enclosed spaces and the expanded afterdeck with lounge chairs.
