The Finnish builder Saxdor made a splash at the Palm Beach International Boat Show to mark two special occasions. First, they rolled out their new 460 GTC Flagship that marks their first entry into the 45 to 50-foot market.
Secondly, the show marked the first major event where Saxdor appeared with their new partners, the NASDAQ-listed American builder, Malibu Boats, Inc. (MBI).
Malibu’s acquisition of Saxdor adds a brand to their portfolio that has seen expansive growth in the last few years. Saxdor’s sales in 2025 increased by a whopping 78 percent and they are only just getting started in the Western Hemisphere.
“This year’s Palm Beach Boat Show marks a particularly exciting moment for Saxdor as part of Malibu Boats Inc.,” commented Erna Rusi, CEO of Saxdor Yachts. “With the launch of the 460 GTC, we are expanding our fleet and opening the door to a new category of clients looking for a larger, unique, and even more versatile social boating experience.
“The boat is amazing: I dare say you cannot get this much lounge space in any boat in this category. We are thrilled for this next phase in Saxdor’s journey as part of MBI and grateful for the tremendous enthusiasm for our brand here. In fact, the 460 GTC already had a flying start in Miami where people were placing orders for the boat without ever seeing it!”
The 460 DTC bridges the gap between Saxdor’s outboard-driven adventure day boats to the expedition cruiser level. The boat is still outboard driven, but it has a comfortable enclosed salon, a full galley and below decks up to three sleeping cabins.

Yet, it is still a Saxdor with wide open spaces forward and aft and the cockpit and salon can be made one social space by folding back the glass doors. The whole area can be expanded by lowering the balconies on both sides.
With MBI’s large presence in the North American powerboat market, it will be fun to watch as American boaters get to know the Saxdor brand and adapt to its aggressive and innovative approach to family boating and cruising.
