Simrad just introduced a new NSO evo3S Glass Bridge display that it says is particularly appropriate for large cruising and fishing boats. The new display is faster, smoother and easier to use than previous models.
The NSO evo3S delivers much faster page changes, cutting loading time in half. It also provides much smoother transitions. A new iMX 8 integrated six-core processor makes movement on the screen – such as panning and rotating charts – smoother than ever before.
The increase in power also means that evo3S can multitask easily, even when the screen is split six ways, as in the picture above. The display gives you instant access to relevant conditions, and you can customize it so you can switch seamlessly between layouts.
Knut Frostad, CEO of the Navico Group, said the NSO evo3S gives “any skipper an unprecedented level of built-in functionality and easy-to-use hardware.”
The display is ultra-bright and has wide viewing angles; you can read it easily even with polarized sunglasses. It is clear, with full HD resolution, with the option to combine up to six panels on a split screen. It makes it easy for you to navigate charts, define waypoints and control connected systems, including autopilot, radar and sonar. You also connect it with smartphones, tablets and internet hotspots.
The evo3S is available in 16-, 19- and 24-inch models. You can buy it as a system pack or as a stand-alone display. The system packs include a display, GPS, keypad and remote controller.
