Judging from the picture from TMZ Sports (above), football superstar Tom Brady is more than happy with his new boat, reportedly a custom 44-foot cruiser with a hard-to-miss metallic blue paint job.

Brady, the quarterback for the Tampa Bay Bucs (7-5), took delivery of the boat last week at a yard in St. Petersburg. He named it Viva a Vida, the name of his supermodel wife Gisele Bündchen’s environmental conservation initiative.

Brady, 43, is new to the Florida boating scene. He just moved to Tampa earlier this year after signing a two-year, $50 million contract with the Bucs, renting Derek Jeter’s $29 million, 33,000-square-feet waterfront house on Davis Islands in Tampa. Jeter, of course, is the former New York Yankees captain who’s now co-owner of the Miami Marlins.

It would seem that Brady could afford just about any boat he wanted. He’s made more than $200 million just in his NFL contracts, playing with the New England Patriots for two decades and winning six Super Bowls.

For her part, Gisele Bündchen was one of the highest-paid models in the world for many years, appearing on more than 1,200 magazine covers. She reportedly is worth much more than Brady. In 2011, Forbes named them “The World’s Highest-Paid Celebrity Couple.”

We don’t have any details about Brady’s boat yet, but we know it’s larger than the Grady-White 307 Freedom owned by his former boss, Bill Belichick, head coach of the Patriots. In February of 2019, Belickick renamed the boat VIII Rings, in recognition of the eight Super Bowl rings he had won at that time. Read more:
