Maritimo will be bringing the new M55 Black Edition to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show later this month and the new boat has been upgraded with truly enhanced living spaces.
The changes to the design, already a popular model for the Australian builder, begin with the spacious cockpit that connects via sliding doors to the aft galley in the salon. A new wider transom island has been added between the cockpit and the swim platform that creates a better social area and enlarges the barbeque grill and counter. The cockpit’s dinette/lounge now faces forward and socially links the cockpit with the living spaces of the salon.
The aft galley has been given more counter space and a larger bench seat. The home-style upright fridge-freezer has been shifted to make room for more overhead cabinets for storage.
Up on the bridge, the upper cockpit has been expanded and has several different lounge configurations, including an L-Shaped sofa and teak coffee table that can be raised for dining. They have also added a wet bar and ice maker.
The enclosed upper helm has a lower profile dash, more ergonomic controls and new electrically adjusted helm seats. This is an all-weather bridge that has great visibility all around.
Up forward, the M55 Black Edition now has larger sun pads with adjustable back rests and there’s a new forward-facing lounge for relaxing or sunbathing. As an option, you can replace the forward lounge with dinghy chalks and a crane for stowing a tender while underway.
The newly enhanced M55 Black Edition will be on display at FLIBS along with the new M75 and the M600. Read more here.
