Combining support vessel utility with super yacht elegance and finish, Outer Reef this month introduced the first new design in their Crossover series. As part of the new Adventure Sport Vessel line (ASV), the 27-meter (88-foot) yacht is capable if fulfilling several different roles her owners.
For adventurous owners who plan to explore the far corners of the world, the 27 Crossover has all the brawn and the range they need. At eco-cruising speed, the boat will have a range of 3,000 miles.
Plus, with a large boat deck and crane and a small boat deck on the cabin top, also with a crane, 27 can carry two speedboats and at least three jet skis. The boat deck spans 753 square feet. When cleared of the boats while at anchor, this 22-foot wide deck can be a huge social and lounging space.
With a high bluff bow, the 27 will be comfortable in a seaway and will keep her decks and her crew dry. Built in steel, the boat is massively strong. Yet with only a six-foot draft, it will be able to explore waters off limits to other boats of this size.
While the 27 has the look and utility of a working vessel or support craft, it has been fitted out with thoroughly modern and elegant accommodations. The salon runs seamlessly from the after deck in one open space that is surrounded by windows. Forward the bridge offers 360-degree visibility and behind it there is seating for a full guest party.
Down below there are two ensuite VIP cabins with double berths and two twin cabins each with its own head. Aft, two single crew cabins have been tucked in next to the engine room.
There is something very appealing about a yacht that looks like it is all business, a vessel that is meant for adventure, sport and a vigorous lifestyle. For the owners that fit this bill, the 27 Crossover will be just right.
