The highly respected American builder of quality power boats from 34 to 60 feet, Tiara Yachts of Holland Michigan announced this week that they are adding a new 35 LS to their Luxury Sport line of performance, outboard-driven day boats and weekenders.
The 35 LS follows in the immediate wake of the new 46 LS that was introduced last month at the Palm Beach International Boat Show. Not resting on their laurels, the company also introduced an all-new 39 LE, Express Cruiser, back in December.
Three new models in five months shows impressive confidence in the market for premium, American-built boats with distinctive American styling. As we have noted, the builder eschews the trendy plumb bows and aggressive style of so many new designs.
The 35 LS is a spacious day boat built for memorable family excursions but with accommodations for a couple to enjoy weekends or longer away from home.
“The 35 LS is defined by reliability and safety,” said Tom Slikkers, CEO of Tiara Yachts. “It is built with the family experience in mind, blending comfortable seating and easy boarding with the security of a highly dependable watercraft. We designed this model to be a platform for connection, helping our customers build traditions and make memories that will last for generations.”

The “connection” theme Tom Slikkers emphasizes can be seen in the way three distinct social areas have been craftily fitted in the 35-foot envelope. The cockpit has facing bench seats with a table between them for al fresco meals. The amidships galley is accessed by sliding the forward bench aft. Then, the back of the aft seat can be removed and used as a filler cushion between the benches to create a large sunbed.
The forward cockpit is reached via the starboard side deck which also sports an opening dock-access door in the bulwark. The U-shaped lounge area will seat six adults and will be a fine spot for afternoon sundowners before running for home.
The third social space is in the cabin down three steps from the helm. Here you’ll find a forward V-berth that has a filler cushion that converts it into a proper queen-size bed. And, there is a fully enclosed head, something you don’t usually see in 35-foot sport boats.

“We’ve packed a remarkable amount of content into the 35 LS, prioritizing safety without losing the flexible social zones Tiara is known for,” said Gabe Rose, Design Manager at Tiara Yachts. “It offers a secure, comfortable, experience in a compact footprint that doesn’t compromise on premium features. From the mid-cockpit galley for easy entertaining to the private head and convertible berth for occasional overnights, this boat is designed to elevate every outing.”
The 35LS can be powered by either twin 350 or 425 horsepower 10-cylindar Mercury Verado engines, depending on your need for speed. The hull has a full 22-degrees of deadrise at the transom so it will provide a soft and stable ride even at high speeds in a choppy sea. The 425-horsepower option will push the top end to an eye watering 50-plus knots.
Tiara Yachts is a family-owned company that has been building recreational power boats for three generations. The company regularly wins national awards for design and build quality and has helped define what “made in America” stands for. The new 35LS simply adds to that legacy and will be cherished member of any boating family.
