The new Greenline Ocean Class 65 is a long-range, blue-water serious cruising boat with contemporary European lines and styling. The latest addition to Greenline’s Open Class of large cruising boats from 57 to 70 feet, the new 65 will be launched at the Cannes yacht show in September. The company’s smaller hybrid 36, using a combination of electric and diesel power, was introduced to the U.S. last fall.

With three staterooms and three en suite heads, the new Greenline 65 is a comfortable cruising boat; the salon is particularly inviting with lots of light coming in from large side, front and rear windows. The galley is aft, with its own seating area, and opens directly to the cockpit via large glass doors. Just forward, a long U-shaped settee stretches all along the port side of the salon, opposite two large easy chairs to starboard, aft of the helm.

On the accommodations deck below, the full-beam master is midships, with lots of walking around space; the VIP is in the bow, and a third, guest, stateroom with twin berths is on the starboard side. Up top, the bridge, protected by an aggressively raked hardtop, can be a major social area with a large U-shaped settee and wet bar on the starboard side, opposite the helm. A large sunpad is on the bow, while the cockpit has a long settee aft, facing a table with three chairs for al fresco dining or cocktails.

Standard power comes from two 715-hp Cat diesels with shaft drives for fuel-efficient cruising from 10 to 25 knots. Optional power can go up to two 1,150-hp Cats powering the boat to 28 knots or so. The company says the range with the smaller engines is 2,800 nm at 8 knots.

Specs.: LOA: 68’0”; Beam: 17’8”; Draft: NA; Disp.: 90,000 lbs.; Fuel: 1,056 gals.; Water: 264 gals.; Power: 2×715-hp Cat diesels. For more:
