While most of us are trapped at home during the current crisis, it’s helpful to remember that there are some incredibly beautiful places in the world, waiting for us when all this is over. Consider, for example, the newly opened Yacht Marina at Crossroads in the Maldives.

The Maldives are a chain of 26 atolls in the Indian Ocean, about 620 miles from India and southwest of Sri Lanka. They’re rich with marine life, including 187 species of coral, 1,100 species of fish, 21 species of whales and dolphins, and five species of sea turtles. And gorgeous waters and beaches.

The Yacht Marina at Crossroads is in Emboodhoo Lagoon in the islands that make up the Kaafu Atoll, just a 15-minute boat ride from the Velana Airport. The marina has 30 berths for boats up to 164 feet, with 160A outlets, fuel, fresh ice service, a fitness center, free WiFi, a chandlery, a fitness center, and concierge services.

It also offers chartered cruises to the reefs and diving centers, and even provides a private romantic lunch on a castaway island sandbank. The marina owners say it’s the “ultimate explorer’s paradise,” and who’s to argue.

In addition to the new marina, The Maldives Crossroads consist of two resorts, a beach club, stores, restaurants, a watersports center and a five-star PADI diving school. It even has a camp for children. Read more:
