The new Prestige 630 Sport Flybridge is a light-filled contemporary cruiser with an elegant French touch and a 30-knot top speed from twin Volvo IPS950 pod drives.
Below, the yacht has three staterooms, all with en suite heads, and the mid-ship, full-beam master has a private entrance from the salon. On the main deck, there are social and entertaining centers from stem to stern, and up top, the low, set-back flybridge is home to another social area, complete with a grill, in addition to the upper helm.
On its website, Prestige says the 630 has “a refined, luxurious interior and impeccable finish. A chic, Zen spirit reigns.”
You can walk on the 630 via three teak steps on the starboard side of the teak swim platform to the cockpit. A large lounge, with a cocktail/dining table stretches across the transom in the cockpit. A ladder to port leads up to the flybridge, while a large glass door opens to the salon.
A sliding sunroof, an unusual feature on a flybridge boat, opens forward in the salon, to let in light and air; more natural light flows in from windows all around. The galley is aft, to port, and a large sofa is forward to port with an occasional chair and a table on a stainless steel pedestal. A smaller sofa is to starboard, and the helm, with two seats, is forward.
All the way forward, there are enough sun pads on the foredeck to hold three or four people. Four cushioned seats are forward of the sun pads, almost at the bow.
Below, the king-sized bed in the master stateroom is on the centerline; a loveseat is to port. The VIP stateroom is all the way forward, also with the bed on the centerline. The third cabin, with twin berths, is to port.
With the twin 725-hp Volvos, the Prestige has a range of 305 nm at its cruising speed of 24 knots.
