New Z-Triton, a Fun Bike, Boat and RV

Here is the product of a fertile mind. Take a look at the new Z-Triton, a combination bike/boat/RV, all rolled into one unique vehicle. It’s made by a Latvian startup named Zeltoni, which says one of its founding principles is that its “work and projects simply have to be fun and bring joy.”

With the Z-Triton, you can explore the world on land and on the water, and have a place to sleep along the way. It has two 250-watt electric motors, a Li-ion battery pack and solar panels on the roof to provide energy.

In the bike mode, you can pedal or get some help from the motors. When you want to go boating, you lift up the bike wheels, inflate and attach the stabilizers, and lower the electric motor from the cabin. The company says this takes less than five minutes.

On land, the Z-Triton’s range under electric power is about 30 miles; on the water, about 6, but the boat comes with a pair of oars to get you back home.

For comfort, there’s space for two adults to sleep inside, plus a folding kitchen table, a sound system and a USB charting port; for navigation, a GPS. To make you feel like you’re at home, there’s a pot on the roof for your favorite plant.

Z-Triton is now for sale in Europe, and will be exported to the U.S. soon. The basic price is the equivalent of about $16,400. Read more at http://z-triton.com and see the video below:
