Invictus just announced that it will unveil its new TT420 at the big Düsseldorf show in January. The TT420 is created with the same distinctive style and lines as the TT460 that won a Design Innovation Award just two years ago.

All Invictus yachts are designed by Christian Grande, who has won many awards himself for his innovations and designs that are often a bit out of the box. The new Invictus TT420 has the yard’s signature slightly-reverse bow, and an eye-catching windshield that blends in to the modernistic carbon hardtop.

The foredeck on the TT420 carries a large sun pad that can be converted into a chaise lounge. Wide side decks lead aft, and they’re protected by high bulwarks for safety.

Three seats face the helm, and folding tables and a dinette are a bit aft, under the hardtop. The living area can be enlarged with terraces folding down from the sides, and the aft deck is covered by a supersized sun pad that’s on top of a garage large enough for a 6’ 8” tender.

Below, there’s V-shaped seating in the bow, with a round table; the seats convert to bed at night. Another cabin, with two beds, is tucked under the helm deck. A lower galley is to port; a large head with a separate shower is to starboard.

The TT420 is 40’ 3” long with a beam of 13’ 6”. Standard power comes from twin 440-hp Volvo Penta diesels with sterndrives. We don’t have other details yet; stay tuned.

Invictus was started just six years ago, in Borgia, Italy. The company has grown rapidly in Europe because of its unique lines and its semi-custom approach to owners. Hull number one of the TT420 will have a “personal white” paint job; later models will come in “vogue white.” Read more:
