VisionF, the fairly new Turkish yard, just announced that it’s building a massive, luxurious 100-foot-long power catamaran, the flagship of its growing fleet. The new VisionF 100 will be built out of Kevlar composite, instead of the aluminum used in the previous yachts.
The yard is using Kevlar in the new 100 because of its strength and light weight. It’s also strong and rigid. The yacht is powered by four 900-hp Volvo IPS1050 pod drives, delivering a top speed of 22 knots. Its draft of just 3’ 9” means it can safely go in the shallow waters of the Bahamas and elsewhere.
The new VisionF 100 has an impressive 39’ 7” beam, that’s made even larger by two terraces that drop down from the bulwarks behind full-height sliding glass doors on both sides of the salon. And the aft deck features an extension that slides out over the water for even more space.
The foredeck on most catamarans is marked as a major relaxing space, since it affords use of the entire beam. The VisionF 100 has the usual sofa seating, sun lounges, dining table and bar there, but it also has a Jacuzzi with a glass bottom so you can look down into the water below.
The salon is about the size of a New York City studio apartment, and it has seating all around and a dining area. There’s an optional forward-facing master suite forward with private access to the foredeck (and the Jacuzzi). The sun deck has more lounge seating, sun beds, a dining table and a bar.
Below, the two hulls house a fully equipped galley and six guests cabins with en suite heads and showers. The accommodations areas can be customized, with the possibility of as many as three crew cabins, with separate access.
The new 100 is scheduled for delivery in early 2025, with hull number two a few months later. VisionF was founded in 2019, and launched its first vessel, the VisionF 80, in November, 2020. You can read more at http://visionf.com and see a video of the 80 below:
