Austin Parker Launches Stylish 52 Ibiza

Austin Parker, the semi-custom Italian builder, just launched its new 52 Ibiza, a three-stateroom, three-head beauty with more contemporary styling than the company’s previous lobster-boat designs.

Standard power on the new 52 is twin 750-hp Volvo IPS950 pod drives, delivering a top speed of 36 knots and a cruising speed of 30 knots. IPS joystick controls, of course, make maneuvering around a dock seem easy; the new boat also has a standard bow thruster. Optional power includes twin 715-hp Cummins diesels.

From its yard in Pisa, Austin Parker makes boats from 44 to 85 feet. It is able to offer a variety of layouts to each boat, as well as various power options.

The basic 52 Ibiza is a low-profile yacht that could pass for a day boat except for the all the cabins below. The master stateroom is in the bow, and the bed is angled out to create more floor space. A guest cabin with two berths is on the port side, and another with a double berth is to starboard. All have en suite heads with walk-in showers.

The day boat aspect starts with an open transom aft. You climb on board from a large, teak swim platform and walk up each side to the open aft deck, the home of a supersized sun pad, capable of holding at least four people. Push a button and the sun pad rises up to reveal the tender garage.

A large entertaining and dining area is forward, protected by the hardtop. It has expandable teak tables with seating on each side. A outdoor bar and galley module is a bit forward, with a three-burner stove, fridge and sink.

Three seats face the helm; the captain’s seat is centered. Visibility is excellent in every direction.

The Austin Parker 52 has safe, teak side decks. A sun pad and more seating is on the foredeck.

LOA: 52’; Beam: 16’7”; Draft: NA; Disp.: 36,000 lbs.; Fuel: 528 gals.; Water: 158 gals.; Power: 2×750-hp Volvo IPS950 pod drives. Read more:
