Aquila 32 Sport: Versatile Power Cat

The new Aquila 32 Sport catamaran provides an easy and comfortable platform for enjoying day cruises, water sports, picnics, or just a fun and social time on the water.

Standard power is two 225-hp Mercury Verado outboards. With optional twin 300-hp Verados, the Aquila 32 tops out at about 44 mph, with a range of 240 miles.  The larger outboards come with joystick control for easy docking and maneuvering.

The Aquila 32 has a cabin sleeping two people in the lower port hull, and a head and shower on the starboard side. Air conditioning is optional. Two more people could sleep on the convertible settee on the helm deck.

With the outboards raised, the Aquila’s draft is just 1’ 10”, making it easy to navigate shallow waters or to run up on a beach for a picnic.

A large swim ladder is built into the platform on the port side. The aft deck has two large lounge seats for relaxing. The helm deck is protected by a hardtop, and has clear visibility all around. A long settee with a table is on the port side; a bench lounge is to port. Forward, a two-person seat faces the helm to starboard; a single seat is off to port, and it has a back that can be flipped to face either forward or aft, for sociability.

The foredeck uses the cat’s full 12’ 8” beam to provide a large social area. It has two lounges with backrests and armrests for comfort.

The Aquila power cat range runs from 28 to 70 feet. They are made by Sino Eagle in China and sold around the world to private owners. Aquilas are also used in the charter trade, primarily by MarineMax Vacations, part of the MarineMax retail organization with headquarters in Clearwater, Florida, and 90 locations in 22 countries around the world.
