The Dutch builder Doggersbank which has been building rugged steel-hulled offshore cruising boats since 1968 took the opportunity at the Cannes boat show to introduce two new models at 90 and 105 feet.

Designed by the Dutch naval architects Vripack, the new designs add modern styling and updated arrangements to the line. In both designs, the bows are sharper than in the past, the sheer lines are crisper and the glazings in the hulls, salon and bridge are much larger with modern shapes.

The boats will still have the Doggersbank DNA with welded steel hulls that can stand up to the rigors of high latitude or coral reef cruising. The superstructures are still welded aluminum to reduce weight and minimize the rolling motion in cross seas.

Listening to their family of customers and owners, the builder improved accommodations and made room for parties of up to eight guests for extended expeditions.

The new boats are targeted at a slightly younger audience who want to explore the far corners of the world while enjoying SCUBA diving, snorkeling and other water sports. Note the large aft cockpits and swim platforms for easy water access.

The 105 has an added crew cabin which makes room for both a professional skipper and an extra crew who could double as a cook or steward.

Doggersbank is represented in the U.S. by Expedition Yacht Experts. Read more here.
