At the Palm Beach International Boat Show this spring a new yachting brand made it’s debut and did so with what Europeans call duende or ineffable style.
Based in Miami and with dealers in Europe, the Middle East and China, Manari set out to create performance cruising yachts that exhibit aggressively modern looks with comfortable and elegant accommodations. Plus, it was to be a performance ocean-going yacht.
The concept came in no small part from the founder’s early boating experience with his grandfather who built a fast, sleek power cruiser on which he and his family spent summers cruising the Med. She was named Manari.
The design with its muscular sheer and hull chines has a plumb bow, sleek cabin and wide open stern. The concept is to provide its owners with spacious indoor-outdoor platforms which is expanded with the large fold-down-balconies .

The aft cockpit has a wide sun bed and a dinette and table that will seat up to eight adults. The angles of the seats and table are distinctive, and the high gloss finish looks elegant. There is an extensive wet bar midships for entertaining fashioning light meals. Plus, there is a second full lounge and table forward.
The futuristic helm has racing style bucket seats for the shipper and co-captain and there are two similar wingman seats opposite. The nav systems are all mounted on a jet black surface and offer two huge displays as well as the bow thruster controls and autopilot. With the sunroof open, helming the 52 will be like driving an elegant convertable.

Down blow you’ll find a lounge with an L-shape couch and coffee table. Off this space, there is the big master cabin forward with a centerline double berth. And, aft there is a twin cabin tucked neatly under the salon’s floor.
The 52 is powered by twin Volvo D8-800 IPS drives and in the initial sea trials off Miami 37 knots marked its top end. With the high performance power pack, the designers predict that will notch up significantly to 47 knots.
This is a new boat and brand that makes an unmistakable statement: The future of performance cruising is here and its name is Manari. The company has drawings on hand for a new 47 and 85 that will come to life as the 52 establishes itself.
