Great Video on Nordhavn 52 Cruising Systems

Here’s a great video from James and Jennifer Hamilton on their Nordhavn 52 Dirona that’s almost a tutorial about systems management for long-range cruising and  living aboard – everything from monitoring all the electrical systems on board to creating extra pantry space. Definitely worth a look: http://www.nordhavn.com/interactive/videos/dirona/http://<iframe width=”560″ height=”315″ src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/-hC490NTIJM” frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen>

First Look: Nordhavn 59 Coastal Pilot

Here’s a first look at Nordhavn’s new 59 Coastal Pilot. a boat that makes cruising easy. This is from the company that took its 40-footer around the world, and then organized the Nordhavn Atlantic Rally in 2004 (when I joined company vice president Jim Leishman on his 57-footer from the Azores to Gibraltar, an all-time-winning trip). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZCahkD7hcE&feature=em-subs_digest

Circling the Atlantic, Heading Home

Sean and Lois Johnson, two Brits with a lot of salt water in their veins, are now in the Dominican Republic on their Nordhavn 64, Kapowai, after a circumnavigation of the Atlantic – from Miami up to Canada, across to Europe, and then back to the Caribbean. They had already crossed the Atlantic twice since they bought Kapowai just two years ago. If you’re interested in learning about long-range cruising from the people who’ve been there, here’s their latest blog postings before they head back to Miami.http://www.kapowaicruising.com
