Horizon Power Catamarans has launched a new PC 52, the entry-level yacht in its fleet. A three-stateroom, two-head cruiser, the 52 is designed for comfortable living even on extended cruises. With twin 550-hp Cummins diesels, the Horizon PC 52 has a top speed of 22 knots, and a range of more than 1,000 nm at 8.4 knots. Horizon calls the new 52 “a power catamaran for cruising connoisseurs.” The high bridge deck clearance will minimize pounding even in a head sea. The Coast Guard says a 689-foot ship hit “something underwater” in Lake Superior and started taking on water Saturday morning.
