Greenline Launches New Hybrid-Powered 45 Coupe

Greenline just launched its new 45 Coupe, a hybrid cruiser than can run on all-electric or diesel power. It’s the newer version of the 45 Flybridge, with the same easy lines, but with more room on the cabin top for solar panels. All told, the 45 Coupe has eight panels, and they can generate a charge of 15kWh, enough to run the boat with four people on board without having to start the generator. Adopt a Manatee for Valentine’s Day

In case you were running out of ideas about how to celebrate Valentine’s Day on Sunday, Feb. 14, here’s one you probably haven’t considered yet: Adopt a manatee. The large, slow-moving aquatic mammals aren’t your typical Valentine. Adults are usually about ten feet long and weigh in at about 1,000 pounds. EPropulsion Announces New Electric Outboard Lineup

Here’s some interesting news if you’re thinking of getting a new outboard for your dink or RIB. EPropulsion just announced its 2021 model lineup with seven electric outboards, ranging from 3- to 9.9-hp, including the first with hydrogeneration capabilities. A Hong Kong company founded in 2012, ePropulsion now has standardized its lineup. Great White Shark Bites Boat’s Motors off Tampa

A great white shark took a bite out of the outboards on a SeaVee 34 in the Gulf of Mexico about 65 miles southwest of Tampa last week. Fountaine Pajot Plans Entry-Level, 36-Foot Power Cat

Reflecting the growing popularity of power catamarans, Fountaine Pajot just announced that it will build a new 36-footer, the MY 4.S, its entry-level cat aimed at the heart of the U.S. market. The new 36 will replace the Fountaine Pajot 37, the French builder’s first power cat that it launched five years ago. Winners of the Annual MBY Motor Boat Awards

The editors of Motor Boat & Yachting, the British magazine, just announced the winners of their prestigious annual Motor Boat Awards. The awards were for boats in six categories, and they were announced in a virtual ceremony, because of the pandemic. The editors tested all the finalists for the awards, some 29 boats, in the past year.
