JFA Building Stunning 86 Power Cat

JFA, the high-end French yard, just unveiled its stunning new Long Island 86 power, a large, luxurious, cruising catamaran with an aluminum hull and composite superstructure. Soel Unveils 62 Electric Long-Range Cat

Soel, the innovative Dutch builder, just unveiled a new Senses 62 electric-powered catamaran with a massive 564 kWh battery that the company says provides “trans-ocean range.” The 62 is Soel’s latest and largest yacht, and it uses battery packs and solar panels to replenish its power supply at sea. It’s also a massive yacht, with a 33’ 6” beam that represents more than half the cat’s length. That means it carries a lot of luxury space, inside and out. Prestige Building New Line of Power Cats

Prestige, the high-end French builder, just announced that they’re launching a new line of power catamarans, starting with the M48. Prestige has been making yachts from 40 to 70 feet since 1989, but they’ve all been monohull motoryachts. The new M-Line, starting with the 48, will change all that. Part of the Beneteau Group, Prestige will have the new cat ready for the Cannes Yachting Festival next September. ALVA Introduces Solar/Electric 60 Coupe

ALVA Yachts, the new German builder, just introduced its new Ocean Eco 60 Coupe, an electric-solar cruiser with a low profile and transatlantic range. ALVA Yachts was started in 2020 by Mathias May and Holger Henn, veterans of Pica Yachts, where they made more than 40 all-electric sail and power boats. Sunreef just launched its new all-electric 80 Eco catamaran at its yard in Gdansk, Poland. The company says it represents the next generation in green energy and offers unlimited range for luxurious cruising. The Sunreef 80 Eco can be ordered in sail or power versions. Aquila Starts New Line of Offshore Cats

Aquila Power Catamarans just announced that it’s starting a new line of offshore boats called the Aquila 28 Molokai Power Catamaran and the Aquila 28 Molokai Cuddy Power Catamaran. Silent-Yachts just sold the first Silent 100 Explorer catamaran, a 101-foot luxury yacht capable of crossing oceans under solar power. An Austrian company, Silent-Yachts says its new flagship, with a beam of 44’ 7”,  has the living space equivalent to that found in a monohull half again its size.
